How to Improve Hindi Typing

Start with accuracy before speed. Practice a small set of keys, matras and common words, then move to timed passages. Use the same keyboard layout consistently so muscle memory can develop.

A simple practice routine

  1. Spend 5 minutes on letters and matras.
  2. Spend 10 minutes on common Hindi words.
  3. Type one short paragraph without looking at speed.
  4. Finish with a timed test and review every mistake.

What to track

Track words per minute, characters per minute, accuracy and the letters you miss repeatedly. Improving accuracy first usually makes later speed gains more stable.

Use one layout consistently

InScript, Remington-style layouts and phonetic input behave differently. Pick the layout required by your work or exam and practice that same layout every day.
